Patrizia Zita, principal of government relations firm Kaufman Zita Group, was appointed to the Governor`s Commission on Rationalizing Healthcare Resource Subcommittee on Benchmarking for Efficiency and Quality (METRICS). The Commission is charged with working to ensure the state`s supply of hospital and other health care services is best configured to appropriately respond to community needs for high-quality, affordable and accessible care. The Commission is responsible of ensuring that there is proper oversight and accountability of limited public funds. The Subcommittee, in particular, will focus on the establishment of standards for quality and efficiency in providing health care services. The Committee will meet thru the summer and is expected to issue a report in September.
