- Former State GOP Chair Brings Communications Expertise to Firm -

(PRINCETON, NJ) - The Kaufman Zita Group (KZG) is pleased to announce that Tom Wilson is joining the firm as a Partner.  Tom will assume a leadership role at KZG with special emphasis in the areas of strategic communications planning and execution, public relations and crisis management.

Tom has an extensive background in government and public affairs having spent more than twenty years helping various groups and organizations deliver effective messages.  His area of practice at KZG will focus his extensive strategic communications and advocacy experience on crafting and executing strategies that influence positive outcomes for KZG clients.

Prior to joining KZG, Tom served as a communications consultant to the campaign of New Jersey Governor Christopher Christie and as Chairman of the New Jersey Republican State Committee. 

Before his election to serve as Chairman of New Jersey’s Republican Party, Tom was a partner in a successful public affairs firm based in Trenton and represented a portfolio of clients that ranged from Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies to small trade associations.   His professional experience also includes senior level positions in government having served as the Chief of Staff to Assembly Speaker Garabed “Chuck” Haytaian and Communications Director to Governor Donald T. DiFrancesco.  Tom also managed the successful 1997 re-election campaign of Governor Christine Todd Whitman.

A graduate of the University of Vermont, Tom and his wife, Lysa, reside in Montgomery Township, New Jersey with their children Alec and Abby.
